Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Your privacy matters to us, and we've written this policy to explain — clearly and without the usual legalese — what personal information Wowch collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Wowch is operated by Innolope LLC ("Innolope," "Wowch," "we," "us," or "our"), and for the purposes of data protection law we are the controller of the personal information described here. This policy covers the Wowch mobile app and website (the "Service").
If you have any questions after reading it, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]. We'd rather answer a question than leave you wondering.
1. The information we collect
We try to collect only what we genuinely need to run Wowch well. The information we collect falls into a few categories:
Information you give us
When you create an account, you may provide a display name, email address, and a profile photo. When you contribute to Wowch, you provide the Content you post — your videos, captions, comments, ratings, and votes. If you contact us for support, we collect whatever you choose to include in your message, such as your name, email, and the details of your question.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including your device type and operating system, app version, general app activity (such as the videos you view or the venues you browse), approximate or precise location if you choose to enable location features, and diagnostic data that helps us find and fix bugs. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies on our website and through analytics and error-monitoring tools in the app.
Information from third parties
If you sign in using a third-party provider such as Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information from them as permitted by your settings with that provider. If you make a purchase, our payment and subscription partners let us know whether the transaction succeeded so we can unlock the right features, but we never receive your full card details.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to provide and operate Wowch — to create and maintain your account, host and display your reviews, personalize the places and feeds you see, and let the community vote, comment, and earn rewards. We use it to keep the Service safe and trustworthy by detecting fraud, abuse, and fake reviews, and to enforce our Terms of Service. We use it to communicate with you, including responding to your support requests and sending important service notices. And we use aggregated and diagnostic information to understand how Wowch is used so we can fix problems and make the product better. We do not sell your personal information.
3. The legal bases we rely on
If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, we rely on the following legal bases to process your information: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service you signed up for); our legitimate interests (to keep Wowch secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product, balanced against your rights); your consent (for things like precise location or optional communications, which you can withdraw at any time); and compliance with legal obligations where the law requires us to process or retain certain data.
4. How and with whom we share information
We share personal information only in the limited circumstances described here. First, your public Content — your reviews, profile name, and photo — is visible to other users, because sharing authentic experiences is the whole idea of Wowch. Second, we share information with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf and only under our instructions, such as cloud hosting and database providers, media storage and streaming services, authentication providers, analytics and crash-reporting tools, our email delivery provider (used, for example, to route your support messages to us), and payment and subscription processors. Third, we may disclose information where we're legally required to, or where it's necessary to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or Innolope. Finally, if Innolope is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we'll let you know if it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we'll remove or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, although some data may remain in secure backups for a limited time before it's fully cleared, and anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer identify you may be retained.
6. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — including the right to access a copy of it, to correct inaccurate information, to delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to receive your data in a portable format. If you're a California resident, you also have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (note that we do not sell your data). To exercise any of these rights, just email us at [email protected] and we'll take care of it. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and if you're unhappy with how we've handled your request, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Children's privacy
Wowch isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll delete it promptly. Where local law sets a higher age of digital consent, we apply that higher age.
8. How we protect your information
We take security seriously and use technical and organizational measures — such as encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No system is ever completely immune to risk, so we can't promise perfect security, but we work continuously to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if something does go wrong.
9. International data transfers
Innolope is based in the United States, and the providers we work with may process data in the U.S. and other countries. This means your information may be transferred to and stored in a country with different data protection laws than your own. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to make sure your data stays protected.
10. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how it's used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. In the app, we use analytics and error-monitoring tools that collect usage and diagnostic information as described above. We use these tools to improve reliability and experience, not to build advertising profiles about you.
11. Links to other services
Wowch may link to third-party websites, apps, or venues that we don't operate. This policy doesn't cover their practices, so we encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third party before sharing information with them.
12. Changes to this policy
As Wowch grows, we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app or by email. We encourage you to check back now and then so you always know how your information is handled.
13. Contact us
If you have any questions, requests, or concerns about your privacy or this policy, we're happy to help. You can reach us by email at [email protected] or by post at Innolope LLC, Ste A, 8 The Green, Dover, DE, Kent, US, 19901.
